Dixie Canner Company manufactures can packaging and processing machinery. All Dixie Can Seamer can be customized to suit your needs and offers the following benefits:

Dixie Canner critical equipment required for shelf-stable thermal processing in cans will include a M-2 Line Exhauster or Vacuum Can Seamer, an atmospheric Can Seamer if line exhauster used, and the Dixie RDSW-3SS Retort with Auto Control Operating System Package 5. The system has the capability to sterilize cans and jars. You will need to provide a boiler to generate the steam power required to operate equipment. You will also need compressed air. A 10 BHP Boiler System and 80-gallon, 3.5 HP Air compressor are recommended. There is information for Boiler Horsepower (BHP) needed to run each piece of equipment, follow link below. Dixie is a machinery manufacturer only. Attached you will find some helpful resources for planning of low volume canning plants. We do not offer design services. Can Seamers
Our durable, heavy duty can seamers are built with Flexibility to close cans from less 1 1/2” up to 6 5/8” in diameter and up to 7” tall, options for taller cans. You may hermetically seam round cans made of metal, plastic, or composite materials with round metal lids. Lids may be sanitary, EZO, peel-top, beverage, dome type, etc. All seamers come priced to close ONE SIZE can. You may close cans under Atmospheric Conditions, Vacuum Only up to 28.9” Hg, Vacuum with an Inert Gas Flush, Multiflush, or Positive pressure Gas Flush Modes. Additional Change Parts may be quoted, or you can purchase Change Parts as needed in the future. We manufacture all Change Parts in house (Athens, GA USA). We require 15 sample cans and loose lids for each size can you plan to close for manufacturing, set-up, and testing for a new can seamer. We would also like the can manufacturers seam specifications for each can. When ordering Change Parts after the delivery of your Dixie Can Seamer you will only need to send 3 sample cans and loose lids, the can manufacturers seam specifications and payment. We will manufacture tooling and ship back to you. We also have Atmospheric, Vacuum Only and Vacuum with Gas Flush, Multi-Flush, and the Model UVG+MD-AL-HMI Positive Pressure Inert Gas Flush Can Seamer for $69,750.00 and table-top Model 25D-700 starting at $6,250.00.

Retorts
The RDSW-3SS (Vertical/Still) Retort with Package 5 Auto Retort Control is PC/Opto 22 PLC based with HMI interface. The Control Panel records all Cook Modes: time, temp, pressure data. Auto store up to 6 Recipes per Cook Mode for one button operation. 5 Separate Cook Modes – Steam Cook, Water Cook, Pasteurization Cook, Steam Cook with Air Over-pressure Cook and Cooling, Water Cook with Air Overpressure Cook and Cooling. Password protected cook log information. Digital indicating Pressure and Temperature gauges. We also include a separate RRT Digital Paperless Chart Recorder with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software. Estimated shipping and handling, On-site start-up and training included: US$125,000.00 Range.
The RDSW-3SS Dual Retorts with Package 5 Auto Retort Control System operates same as above but includes two(2) RDSW-3SS Dixie Retorts controlled within one panel. This option saves the customer thousands of dollars when compared to buying two individual systems. The dual system can be operated simultaneously or independently. The Dual system double production capability over single retort system. We recommend a 20 BHP Boiler system to efficiently operate the dual retort package. The Dual Package 5 System was developed for Specialty Canning companies thermal processing items like canned coffee or seafood for a budget friendly and moderate production capacity ESTIMATED $220,000.00 RANGE.
For Cans and Jars:*
*You may process Retort Pouches with our RDSW-3SS Retort and Package 5 Auto Control System, but we do not offer a retort crate for Retortable Pouches, you would have to develop crate yourself.
There is an option for a Dixie RDSW-3SS Retort and Package 3 Manual Operating System for use in Community Canneries and non-commercial environments ESTIMATED $55,000.00 RANGE.

Dixie Canner recommends you work with a local boiler company and purchase what they stock and supply. Dixie Canner also recommends the Columbia CT Series 150psi Steam Boiler, 20 BHP, Boiler Feed System and Blowdown Separator system. I would refer you directly to Columbia Boiler Company for quotation.
